these tyres are quite worth the price for the qualities it has. economy wise abit of improvement hardly noticable. comfort is very good at first when new nearly no noise but now after awhile starting to get noisier. grip levels are good but its fitted on an suv so yea.. tread wear still very good even though this car has been known to eat tyres because of its small width and heavy weight.
Replaced a set of Bob Jane All Rounders with the XM2's. The performance improvement is significant, making the extra $20 or so per tyre money well spent. Comfortable, responsive and confident in the wet, particularly braking. Hardly any wear at 7000KM. A good step-up from the budget family car tyres. By comparison the All Rounders (half worn) were outright dangerous in the wet, diabolical under-steer and ABS pulsing on anything slightly north of light braking. The XM2's feel safe and secure with strong braking support.
I bought a Mercedes E-class coupe two years ago with these tyres fitted. They are still on the car and I cannot get them to wear out. I find grip levels with these tyres compared to Pirelli P7 tyres on my other car to be very poor. I am likely going to change them before they wear out. There are very few "performance" tyres in 15" so it appears it will be Conintental Premium Contact next. These tyres do appear to last a long time however. But I drive mountain roads in Queensland and these tyres are frightening even in the dry. I will avoid "long-life" tyres in future.
